Gorgeous colors abound through Red Rock country in the autumn season, which makes hiking during this time something not to be missed. Check out our recommended Sedona hikes, bundle up and be sure to bring a camera.
Skiing and Snowboarding
Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff is less than an hour drive from Sedona and offers 6 lifts and 40 trails. With great learning terrain, Snowbowl is the perfect place to learn to ski or snowboard as well. Snowbowl is open year round, however on weekends in the fall you can ride the chairlift and take in the vast sea of changing colors across Flagstaff and Northern Arizona. The Arizona Snowbowl opens for the winter season on November 11, 2016 from 9am – 4pm daily.
Bring your snow gear and go sledding at Wing Mountain Snow Play Area, a new organized snow play area with plowed and managed parking, hot beverages, sleds and other concessions. Activities include sledding, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and just playing in the snow!
