Sedona is many things to many people, a mountain biking mecca, the day hike capital of the US, a spiritual destination; Sedona is also a great place for unique shopping.
Waking up with a red rock view is by far the best way to start your shopping day, along with a healthy start breakfast.
Tlaquepaque is a great place to start shopping, even if it is just window shopping. It’s a short drive, or even a nice stroll will get you there, about 3 blocks away from Orchards Inn.
Founder and visionary Abe Miller built Tlaquepaque over 40 years ago. His dream was to create a village in Sedona reflecting the flavor, sights and sounds of Old Mexico.
Among all the unique shops, be sure to stop at some of our favorites: Tlaquepaque Toy Town, Sedona Music Boxes, and Showstoppers for something to remember your time in Sedona or gifts for those back home. While you’re shopping, visit Sedona Cake Couture for a specialty coffee and a delicious treat to give you a sweet energy boost.
Once you’ve made your way around and around Tlaquepaque, The Hillside shops are just a short drive away with more art galleries and specialty shops. After you’ve been through a couple galleries, it will be time to rest your feet and fill your belly with a delicious lunch. Try The Hudson with their red rock views and creative cocktails and menu options.
On your way back to Uptown Sedona and Orchards Inn for your afternoon break, we highly suggest that you take a quick detour to Hummingbird House. It is a unique gift store set in a historical home loaded with charm.
To round out the day and make sure you have a true Sedona experience, make sure to get out to Cathedral rock for a sunset view that is absolutely priceless!
